Welcome to the kids blog for the Melbourne Yoshinkan Aikido Dojo.
Here we will be posting regular news and information on the Melbourne Yoshinkan Aiki classes including student profiles, new students joining the Dojo, test programs and results, useful Japanese phrases and special activities.
In the Dojo, Aiki students learn many things including how to be quiet and focused, confident and strong, and how to show respect for and work with others. When we play games during our training, we learn to be aware of others around us and aware of what our bodies are doing.
The Dojo is a very special place where we learn these things. However, all of these things are important in our every day lives. Aiki students should use this blog to share their thoughts and experiences on how the things that they have learnt in the Dojo have been useful at home, at school and when playing with friends. Also, the blog is a good place for you or your parents to ask questions as it is likely that other students will be wondering about the same things as you are.
Over the next couple of months, we will be introducing students and posting some photos from our training classes so keep an eye on the blog as you might see yourself here soon!
